The granules produce free chlorine, which kills bacteria and other harmful organisms. Our chlorine granules can also be used for shock dosing. It is essential to keep your hot tub water sanitised at all times. The ideal free chlorine reading on a test strip is between 3 and 5ppm (parts per million) for a hot tub.
How do I use Stabilised Chlorine Granules in my hot tub?
‑ Test your water using Dip Test Strips
‑ Measure the quantity of chlorine granules you need
‑ Turn on Jets and introduce chlorine granules to water
‑ Leave for 20-30 minutes and re‑test the water
‑ The ideal free chlorine reading is between 3 and 5ppm (parts per million) for hot tubs.
Top Tip: If the water temperature is above 20°C then the recommended amount of chlorine granules can be poured straight into the hot tub. If below 20°C chlorine granules, and any other hot tub chemicals, should be dissolved in a separate container with water before application.
